When Venus Smiles

When Venus smiles my soul becomes liquid
flowing into all surrounding me.
Time disintegrating
Luxury divine
No ticking clock
No angry sun
No jealous moon.
Her eyes mystify
filling my head with words
which swiftly float away.

Silken Vines

I remember when
my hair fell , curtain like
around my body.
caressing my naked flesh
with its silky weight .
I used to hide
beneath silken darkness.
My breathing was slow and quiet
as I slept in the safety
of its warmth.

Now I am bare as the trees in Winter
beautiful still, now stronger and less soft
The whiteness of my flesh
has only clothing as its cover.
My neck,exposed
so long and pale.
Shoulders awaiting my lover's kiss
where once I was touched
 by silken vines.
