I am my father's daughter

from the day that I was born.

When my mother left him,

how my life was torn.

I wanted to be like him

and so I learned to write.

Then as I grew older

I learned how to survive

and how to fight.

I am my father's daughter

I don't know right from wrong.

I don't know how to tell him

so I wrote it in this song.
