The Road Of Tears

I feel the earth drifting beneath my feet.

The road I travel has made me weep.

I wouldn't exchange a single tear

to change the destiny that brought me here.

I believe in human touch.

I don't believe that you can feel too much.

You can't survive on bread and water alone.

This road of tears has brought me home.

Seeing life through my children's eyes

has helped me to see and realize

It's not happiness that is the prize.

It's being together that makes life sweet.
